Thomas Brings Speed to Burlington Secondary
Burlington Sea Horses cornerback Jayden Thomas recorded 12 pass breakups in his final season at out-of-state powerhouse Lincoln High, a 6A school in the VPA. The Class of 2025 standout transferred to Vermont and quickly earned a starting role. Thomas' experience in a high-powered offense has prepared him for the fast-paced, no-huddle systems often employed in the Green Mountain State. His ability to stay in phase with receivers and react to the ball has been a key factor in the Sea Horses' secondary. Thomas' 4.4 40-yard dash time and 6-foot frame make him a physical presence in the defensive backfield. As the Sea Horses prepare for their upcoming season, Thomas will look to build on his impressive freshman campaign and help Burlington make a push for a VPA Division I title. Scouts are watching to see how Thomas adapts to the VPA's rule changes and whether he can maintain his elite level of play throughout the season.
