Fair Haven Slaters Flag Football Prospect Draws Interest from Nebraska, NAIA Programs
Fair Haven, VT - Local flag football standout, Emily Wilson, has caught the attention of college coaches from the University of Nebraska and NAIA programs. Wilson, a rising senior at Fair Haven Union High School, has been invited to attend the University of Nebraska's inaugural women's flag football summer camp in August. The Cornhuskers, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, are set to launch their Power 5 program in 2028. Meanwhile, Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, have also expressed interest in Wilson's skills. Midland University, Nebraska, has offered her a chance to participate in their summer camp as well. Wilson's coaches at the Fair Haven Slaters emphasize the importance of academic preparation and athletic development for potential scholarship opportunities.
