Crafting a Winning Highlight Tape as a TE Prospect

๐Ÿ“ Rutland RaidersยทMonday, July 27, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

College coaches at D-I programs like the Rutland Raiders rely heavily on highlight tapes to identify top talent. To stand out, tight end prospects must create a concise, informative reel that showcases their skills. Structure your tape with a clear narrative: start with game footage from your senior season, followed by clips from summer camps or showcases. Include at least three examples of each of the following: pass receptions, blocking assignments, and in-line blocking. Use metrics to quantify your success: aim for 2.5 receptions per game with an average gain of 12 yards. For example, if you had 15 receptions for 180 yards in your senior season, highlight those specific plays in your tape. Keep your tape to 10 minutes or less, and provide a clear contact method for coaches to reach you.
