Austin Wilson Commits to Texas Tech
Middlebury Tigers tight end Austin Wilson has committed to Texas Tech University for the Class of 2026. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound senior chose the Red Raiders due to their pro-style offense, which aligns with his athletic abilities. Wilson believes he can contribute immediately as a redshirt freshman, potentially filling a gap at tight end. Texas Tech's academic program, which offers a strong business and engineering curriculum, also appealed to Wilson. He previously held a commitment to the University of Vermont but decommitted in April after reassessing his options. Wilson's decision to join Texas Tech's program is expected to bolster the Red Raiders' depth at tight end. The Middlebury Tigers will look to replace Wilson's production in the upcoming season.
