Summer Speed and Agility for Bellevue Wolverines Wide Receivers

๐Ÿ“ Bellevue WolverinesยทSunday, July 19, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

Bellevue Wolverines head coach will be implementing a speed and agility drill to help his 3A wide receivers improve their quickness and separation on the field. The drill, 'Ladder Cuts,' involves setting up a ladder on the field and having the receivers perform a series of cuts through the ladder, focusing on speed, agility, and change of direction. The drill consists of 3 sets of 10 reps, with a 30-second rest period between sets. Coaching cues include 'Keep your feet light,' 'Cut on the balls of your feet,' and 'Stay low and explosive.' This drill translates to game performance by improving the receivers' ability to quickly change direction and get open down the field, giving them a competitive edge in the 3A league.
