O'Dea Fighting Irish Girls Flag Football Recruits, Scholarship Options Expand Amid WIAA Pilot

๐Ÿ“ O'Dea Fighting IrishยทSunday, July 19, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

As the WIAA flag football pilot district expansion creates new scholarship pathways for Texas athletes, the O'Dea Fighting Irish are poised to capitalize on the growing opportunities. With the University of Nebraska's inaugural 2028 season on the horizon, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, the Cornhuskers are expected to offer up to 12 full-ride scholarships. Ottawa University, Kansas, a national powerhouse, has already committed to offering up to 12 scholarships. Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are active recruiters, while UT Arlington's development program may soon offer scholarships. The Fighting Irish should target these schools, particularly Ottawa University, for their strong recruiting efforts.
