Elijah Young Commits to Air Force
Catholic Memorial senior kicker Elijah Young has committed to play football at the United States Air Force Academy. Young, a Class of 2026 standout, will join the Falcons' special teams unit. The 4A Crusaders kicker has spent the summer at Air Force's football camp, where he worked on his technique and developed a rapport with the coaching staff. Young cited the Academy's rigorous academic program and strong special teams tradition as key factors in his decision. He also praised the Falcons' coaching staff for their emphasis on developing players' skills and preparing them for life after football. Young previously held offers from several Division I programs, including Army and Navy, but ultimately chose Air Force for its fit with his athletic and academic goals. He is expected to enroll at the Academy in the fall of 2027.
