Taylor Leads by Example, Both On and Off Field
Kaukauna Ghosts quarterback DeShawn Taylor's impressive arm strength was on full display last summer during a 7-on-7 tournament, where he completed 85% of his passes with a long of 45 yards. The 5A standout's ability to extend plays with his feet and deliver accurate throws has made him a threat in the Wisconsin high school football landscape. But what sets Taylor apart from his peers is his commitment to academics. The Class of 2027 signal-caller maintains a 4.0 GPA, a feat that has earned him the respect of his coaches and teammates. 'DeShawn's work ethic in the classroom is just as impressive as it is on the field,' says Kaukauna head coach, Joe Daniels. With college scouts taking notice of his dual-threat abilities, Taylor's summer training sessions will be closely monitored, particularly his ability to read defenses and make split-second decisions under pressure.
