Quarterback Quick Release Drill for Bridgeport Indians
The Quick Release Drill is a crucial exercise for AA quarterbacks to develop a consistent and accurate passing game. This drill will help quarterbacks like Bridgeport Indians' signal-callers improve their release time and accuracy under pressure. To run the drill, set up five cones in a zig-zag pattern, 5 yards apart. Quarterbacks will start at the first cone and must release a pass to a receiver at the third cone within 2 seconds. The quarterback must take 3 steps back and release the ball before stepping forward. Coaches should emphasize keeping the elbow close to the body and following through on the pass. This drill translates to game performance by simulating the pressure and decision-making required in live action. Run 3 sets of 10 reps, with 30 seconds rest between sets.
