Bridgeport Indians' Star Athlete Eyes College Flag Football Opportunities

๐Ÿ“ Bridgeport IndiansยทSaturday, July 4, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

As the inaugural 2028 season approaches, the University of Nebraska's Power 4 flag football program, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, is attracting top multisport female athletes from the region. For Bridgeport Indians' standout athlete, Emily Wilson, the opportunity to join the Cornhuskers' program is a game-changer. A decorated performer in multiple sports, Wilson is now focusing on flag football as a pathway to a college scholarship. With Ottawa University, Kansas, offering up to 12 NAIA scholarships and Keiser University, Florida, actively recruiting, Wilson has multiple options to consider. Midland University, Nebraska, is also an active recruiter in the region. Wilson is encouraged to research each program's requirements and application processes, and to reach out to coaches at these institutions to discuss her eligibility and potential for a scholarship.
