Malik Wilson Commits to UTSA Roadrunners
Spring Mills Cardinals safety Malik Wilson has committed to the University of Texas at San Antonio Roadrunners. The Class of 2026 standout will join a defensive backfield that employs a multiple-safety scheme, aligning with Wilson's versatility and range. The Roadrunners' depth chart at safety is expected to be competitive, with Wilson potentially vying for a starting role early in his career. UTSA's strong academic programs, including its business and engineering departments, also made the university an attractive option for Wilson, who maintains a 3.5 GPA. Wilson had previously considered other Division I programs but ultimately chose UTSA for its athletic and academic opportunities. He will participate in the Roadrunners' summer camp to get acclimated to the team and coaches. Wilson is expected to contribute to the team's secondary in the coming seasons.
