The Morgantown Mohigans, a powerhouse in West Virginia high school football, are looking to capitalize on the WVSSAC's recent decision to expand its flag football pilot district. This move is expected to create new scholarship pathways for Texas athletes. According to sources, the University of Nebraska, Ottawa University, Kansas, Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are actively recruiting for their flag football programs. The University of Nebraska, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, is set to launch its inaugural 2028 season as a Power 5 school. Interested athletes are advised to create highlight tapes and reach out to these schools' coaching staffs to explore potential scholarship opportunities.
