Georgia Offers 2026 DE Marcus Thomas of Bridgeport Indians
The Bridgeport Indians' Marcus Thomas, a 6-foot-3, 220-pound defensive end in the Class of 2026, has received a scholarship offer from the University of Georgia. Thomas, who has been a standout on the Indians' front line, recorded 44 tackles and 10 sacks as a sophomore. His impressive performance has also caught the attention of other top programs, including West Virginia and Pittsburgh, which have both extended offers. The rising junior has also been named to the West Virginia Sports Writers Association's All-State team. As the recruiting process heats up, Thomas is expected to attend Georgia's summer camp in July and participate in the WVSSAC's Elite 11 camp in August. The Indians' coaching staff is optimistic about his chances of committing to a top program by the end of the summer.
