DeShawn White: Tight End Making Waves at Natrona County
In his first season with the Natrona County Mustangs, DeShawn White has already made an impact at tight end. The Class of 2027 standout hauled in 12 receptions for 157 yards in a single scrimmage, showcasing his chemistry with quarterback Tyler Johnson. White transferred to Natrona County from a 5A school in Colorado, where he played in a more pass-happy system. The 4A classification of the WHSAA has allowed him to thrive in a more balanced offense. White's athleticism and receiving skills have earned him a starting role, and he's quickly become a favorite target for Johnson. Scouts are watching to see if White can maintain his production throughout the season, particularly in the red zone. They're also eager to see how he adapts to the physicality of 4A football. With his size, speed and agility, White has the potential to be a game-changer for the Mustangs.
