Trevon Thompson Commits to University of Houston
Cheyenne Central quarterback Trevon Thompson has committed to the University of Houston for the Class of 2025. The 6-foot-2, 195-pound signal-caller chose the Cougars over offers from Wyoming and New Mexico State. Thompson's commitment to Houston is largely due to the team's Air Raid offense, which aligns with his skillset and playing style. He also cited the school's strong academic programs and the opportunity to compete for playing time immediately. Thompson was previously committed to the University of Wyoming but decommitted in April after a coaching change. He attended the University of Houston's summer camp in June and impressed coaches with his accuracy and decision-making. As a junior, Thompson threw for 2,500 yards and 25 touchdowns, leading the Cheyenne Central Indians to a 9-2 record in 4A play.
