Hunter Martin Commits to University of Houston
Hunter Martin, a Class of 2027 running back from Laramie, has committed to the University of Houston. The 4A standout, who has been a key contributor for the Laramie Plainsmen, cited the Cougars' high-powered offense and depth at running back as factors in his decision. Martin believes he will have opportunities to contribute immediately, particularly in a scheme that emphasizes speed and agility. The University of Houston's strong academic programs, including its business and engineering schools, also appealed to Martin. He had previously considered several other Power Five programs before ultimately committing to the Cougars. Martin's commitment is a significant addition to the University of Houston's 2027 recruiting class, which is expected to be one of the top classes in the American Athletic Conference. Martin will join the Cougars for summer camp in August.
