Carson Thomas Commits to Arkansas
Cheyenne Central cornerback Carson Thomas has committed to the University of Arkansas for the Class of 2027. The 4A Indians standout chose the Razorbacks over other Power Five programs. Thomas cited Arkansas' aggressive defensive scheme as a key factor in his decision, feeling it aligns with his playing style. He also noted the opportunity to contribute immediately to the team's secondary, where he projects to fill a starting role. The Razorbacks' strong academic reputation and resources for student-athletes were also major selling points for Thomas. He had previously committed to another program but reopened his recruitment in the spring. Arkansas becomes the latest addition to Thomas' highlight reel, which includes a 4.5-second 40-yard dash and a 35-inch vertical jump. Thomas is expected to enroll at Arkansas in the summer of 2027 and participate in fall camp.
