Alabama Offers 2027 Cornerback Prospect Austin Johnson of Cheyenne Central
The University of Alabama has extended a scholarship offer to Class of 2027 cornerback Austin Johnson of Cheyenne Central High School in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Johnson, a 5-foot-11, 175-pound defensive back, has been a standout performer in the 4A classification. He recorded 44 tackles, 10 pass breakups and two interceptions as a sophomore. Johnson has also drawn interest from other Power Five programs, including Oregon and Oklahoma State. He has also received offers from several Group of Five schools, including Boise State and Air Force. Johnson is expected to attend Alabama's summer camp in July, where he will have the opportunity to showcase his skills in front of Crimson Tide coaches. Johnson's recruiting timeline is expected to heat up in the coming months, with a potential decision on his college destination expected in the fall of 2026.
