WY Girls Flag Football: Mustangs' Recruiting Landscape Shifts Amid WHSAA Pilot Program

๐Ÿ“ Natrona County MustangsยทFriday, July 24, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

The Natrona County Mustangs' girls flag football program is poised for growth as the WHSAA's pilot district expansion creates new scholarship pathways for Texas athletes. While Wyoming's WHSAA has yet to establish a flag football program, the Mustangs' recruits can now explore opportunities at schools with verified scholarship programs. The University of Nebraska, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, will launch its inaugural 2028 season with Power 4 status. Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, have also established flag football programs with up to 12 scholarships available. Midland University, Nebraska, is an active recruiter. UT Arlington, in development, has not yet started offering scholarships. As the WHSAA's pilot program expands, Mustangs' recruits can leverage this new landscape to secure scholarships.
