Arkansas High Schools Scramble for Talent Amidst College Transfer Portal Chaos

๐Ÿ“ MultipleยทWednesday, July 1, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

As the college football transfer portal continues to shake up the landscape, Arkansas high schools are feeling the ripple effects. With top QB prospects like Camden Fairview's Tyler 'Lightning' Lee and Pulaski Academy's Ethan 'The Cannon' Jackson drawing attention from college programs, local coaches are bracing for a potential brain drain. 'We're seeing a lot of our top players being courted by college programs, and it's making it tough to keep them in-state,' said Bentonville West coach, Matt Wood. With the likes of Tyler Lee and Ethan Jackson potentially leaving the state for college, Arkansas high schools must adapt and find ways to retain their top talent.
