VA High School Coaches Weigh In on National Trend: Women's Flag Football on the Rise

As the University of Nebraska makes waves with the announcement of their women's flag football program, local coaches in Virginia are taking notice. 'It's a game-changer,' says Oakton High School's Coach Thompson. 'We've had talented female players like senior quarterback, Emily Wilson, who could've easily gone on to play at the collegiate level if we had a women's program.' With the growing popularity of women's flag football at the national level, VA high school coaches are optimistic about the potential for more opportunities for female athletes in the state.
