Service Cougars' Next Star: Local Multisport Athlete Seeks Flag Football Opportunity
The Service Cougars' 4A program in Anchorage has a reputation for producing talented multisport athletes, and this summer's flag football camp is no exception. One standout player, a local high school athlete, is shifting her focus to flag football in pursuit of college opportunities. With the University of Nebraska's inaugural 2028 season on the horizon, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, this athlete sees a potential pathway to the Power 4 school. Additionally, Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, have been actively recruiting flag football talent. To take advantage of these opportunities, the athlete is attending summer camps and working with her coaches to create highlight tapes showcasing her skills. Midland University, Nebraska, and UT Arlington are also being considered. By prioritizing flag football and seeking out verified scholarship programs, this athlete is positioning herself for success in the growing world of women's flag football.
