Malik Davis: The Academic Ace of Eagle River
Eagle River Wolves quarterback Malik Davis is a force to be reckoned with on the field, but what sets him apart is his dedication to the classroom. Last season, Davis threw for 2,500 yards and 20 touchdowns, leading the Wolves to a 7-3 record in 4A play. The Class of 2027 standout also maintained a 4.0 GPA, a feat that has not gone unnoticed by college scouts. 'Malik's a rare combination of athleticism and book smarts,' said Wolves coach John Smith. 'He's always been a leader on the field, but his work ethic in the classroom is just as impressive.' Davis has already received interest from several Division I programs, including the University of Alaska Fairbanks and Western Washington University. As he enters his senior year, scouts will be watching to see if Davis can maintain his academic and athletic balance, as well as improve on his already impressive passing numbers.
