Jalen Wilson Commits to Texas Tech

Thompson Warriors Class of 2026 cornerback Jalen Wilson has committed to play for the Texas Tech Red Raiders. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound defensive back chose the Red Raiders over other Power Five programs due to their aggressive 3-4 defensive scheme, which aligns with his playing style. Wilson also cited the opportunity to contribute immediately as a freshman, with the Red Raiders' secondary expected to be a key area of focus in the upcoming season. Additionally, he praised the university's academic program, noting its strong reputation for preparing student-athletes for life after football. Wilson had previously committed to the University of Alabama in February but reopened his recruitment in June, ultimately deciding on Texas Tech.
