Auburn Tigers LBs Prepare for Season with Explosive Ladder Drill
The Auburn Tigers linebackers are gearing up for the 2026 season with a high-intensity ladder drill designed to improve their speed, agility, and reaction time. The drill, called the 'Ladder Shuffle-Step-Cut,' involves setting up a ladder on the field and having the LBs perform the following sequence: 3 sets of 10 reps of ladder shuffles, followed by 3 sets of 10 reps of step-throughs, and finishing with 3 sets of 10 reps of explosive cuts. Coaching cues include 'quick feet,' 'light on your toes,' and 'explode out of the cut.' This drill translates to game performance by allowing LBs to develop the speed and agility needed to pursue ballcarriers and cover receivers in space. By incorporating this drill into their summer training, the Auburn Tigers LBs will be well-prepared for the demands of the 7A season.
