The Thompson Warriors, a 7A powerhouse from Alabaster, are gearing up for the inaugural 2028 season of girls flag football at the University of Nebraska. Coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, the pioneering duo behind the Big Ten program, are actively recruiting top talent from across the state. Local flag prospects have a unique chance to get noticed by scholarship-holding programs at Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida. Both institutions offer verified scholarship opportunities, with Ottawa University awarding up to 12 NAIA scholarships. Keiser University, a national powerhouse, is also actively recruiting.
