Hoover's Top Multisport Athlete Eyes Flag Football at the Next Level
Hoover Buccaneers' standout athlete, Emily Wilson, has made a name for herself in multiple sports, but her sights are now set on flag football. With the inaugural 2028 season of NCAA D1 flag football on the horizon, Wilson is exploring her options at top programs. The University of Nebraska, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, is one of the Power 4 schools offering flag football scholarships. Wilson has also been in contact with Ottawa University, Kansas, which offers up to 12 NAIA scholarships. Additionally, she has been recruited by Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska. As UT Arlington continues to develop its program, Wilson is advised to monitor their progress. To increase her chances of securing a scholarship, Wilson is encouraged to create highlight tapes and reach out to these programs directly.
