The University of Florida has extended a scholarship offer to Elijah Davis, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound wide receiver from Hoover High School. Davis, a Class of 2026 prospect, has been one of the top targets for the Buccaneers' offense, hauling in 23 touchdowns as a sophomore. He has also been clocked at a 4.5 second 40-yard dash and boasts a 38-inch vertical jump. In addition to the Gators, Davis has also received offers from Alabama, Auburn, and Ole Miss. The talented wideout has already drawn comparisons to NFL receiver Calvin Ridley. With the early offer from Florida, Davis is expected to be one of the most sought-after recruits in the state of Alabama this fall. As the Buccaneers prepare for their 2026 season, Davis will look to build on his impressive performance from last year and continue to attract attention from top college programs. The recruiting timeline for Davis is expected to heat up in the coming months, with a decision potentially coming as early as the spring of 2027.
