Malik Smith Commits to Texas Tech
Bryant Hornets linebacker Malik Smith, a Class of 2025 standout, has committed to play for the Texas Tech Red Raiders. The 6-foot-2, 220-pound Smith chose Texas Tech after a thorough evaluation of the program's defensive scheme, which aligns with his athletic abilities. The Red Raiders' 3-4 defense, which features a strong linebacking corps, provides Smith with an opportunity to contribute immediately. Additionally, Smith is drawn to the academic programs offered by Texas Tech, which will enable him to pursue a degree in business administration. Smith previously committed to Arkansas State in 2023 but decommitted in May 2024 to explore other options. With his commitment to Texas Tech, Smith becomes the latest addition to the Red Raiders' 2025 recruiting class.
