As the inaugural 2028 season approaches, the University of Nebraska's Power 4 flag football program under coaches Liz and Katie Sowers is gaining attention from top multisport female athletes. One such standout is a Pulaski Academy Bruins' student-athlete, who has excelled in multiple sports and is now focusing on flag football for college opportunities. The Bruins' star has been in touch with the University of Nebraska's coaching staff, exploring the possibility of joining their inaugural team. Additionally, she has also been in communication with Ottawa University, Kansas, which offers up to 12 NAIA flag football scholarships. Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, have also been active in recruiting her services. Meanwhile, UT Arlington is developing its NCAA D1 program, but has not yet offered scholarships. To increase her chances of securing a scholarship, the athlete is working on creating a highlight tape and improving her skills through summer camps.
