Marcus Walker Commits to SMU

Shiloh Christian Saints quarterback Marcus Walker has committed to SMU for the class of 2027. The 4A standout, who holds a 3.8 GPA, was drawn to the Mustangs' pro-style offense, which aligns with his skills as a dual-threat quarterback. Walker sees an opportunity to compete for the starting role immediately, as SMU's current depth chart indicates a need for a signal-caller. Additionally, the university's strong business program and location in Dallas make it an attractive option for Walker's future academic and professional pursuits. Walker had previously considered several Power 5 schools, but ultimately chose SMU for its fit and opportunities. He is expected to enroll in January 2027 and participate in spring practice.
