Baylor Lands WR Cade Allen from Greenwood Bulldogs
Greenwood Bulldogs wide receiver Cade Allen has committed to Baylor University, the school announced Friday. The Class of 2025 standout, who played a key role in the Bulldogs' 2024 playoff run, chose the Bears over other Power Five offers. Allen, a 6-foot, 180-pound receiver, will bring his athletic ability to a Baylor program that features a pass-happy scheme, which should suit his skills. The depth chart at wide receiver is relatively open, giving Allen an opportunity to contribute early in his collegiate career. Academically, Allen was drawn to Baylor's strong business program, which aligns with his academic interests. Allen previously held a commitment to Arkansas but decommitted in March, allowing him to explore other options. Baylor's coaching staff, led by head coach Dave Aranda, has made Allen a priority recruit, and he is expected to sign with the Bears in the coming weeks.
