Sabercats Promote Assistant to Coordinator Role

The Saguaro Sabercats have elevated assistant coach Ryan Thompson to coordinator of the offense. Thompson has spent three seasons developing talent at the Scottsdale school, helping the Sabercats compile a 25-5 record over the past two years. The 5A program has been a consistent force in Arizona high school football, with a state title in 2020. Thompson's promotion is expected to have a significant impact on recruiting, as the Sabercats look to maintain their status as a top contender in the classification. The move also sets up a competitive offseason, with Thompson's offense looking to build on last year's production. The Sabercats will open the season on Aug. 25 against rival Chaparral.
