Flag Football Scholarship Opportunities Expand for Texas Athletes in 2028

The AIA's pilot district expansion for girls flag football is set to create new scholarship pathways for Texas athletes in 2028. The University of Nebraska, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, will offer Power 4 status in its inaugural season. Nebraska offers verified NCAA Division 1 scholarships. Ottawa University, Kansas, a national powerhouse, is offering up to 12 NAIA scholarships. Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are active recruiters. UT Arlington, a developing NCAA Division 1 program, is expected to offer scholarships in the near future. Hamilton Huskies flag football players should research these programs and reach out to coaches to discuss potential opportunities.
