Desert Edge Scorpions' Rising Star Eyes Flag Football at Top Programs
Multisport standout Emily Wilson is making a bold move, shifting her focus to girls flag football for college opportunities. As a rising senior at Desert Edge High School, Wilson has caught the attention of top programs. The University of Nebraska, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, is a prime target, with its inaugural 2028 season and Power 4 status. Ottawa University, Kansas, a national powerhouse with up to 12 scholarships, is also on Wilson's radar. Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are actively recruiting Wilson, who can leverage her multisport background to excel in flag football. UT Arlington, a developing NCAA D1 program, is also monitoring Wilson's progress. To capitalize on these opportunities, Wilson will attend summer camps and create highlight tapes to showcase her skills.
