Desert Edge Scorpions Quarterback Jordan Robinson Commits to Houston Cougars
Jordan Robinson, a 5A quarterback from Desert Edge High School, has committed to the University of Houston Cougars. The Class of 2027 prospect chose the Cougars over other Division I offers. Robinson's commitment is a significant addition to the Cougars' quarterback room, where he is expected to compete for a backup position behind starting quarterback Gleson Hebert. The Cougars' spread offense, which emphasizes quick decision-making and ball distribution, aligns well with Robinson's skill set. Additionally, Houston's strong academic programs, including its renowned business school, made it an attractive choice for the student-athlete. Robinson had previously committed to Arizona State but reopened his recruitment in January 2026, ultimately selecting the Cougars. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound quarterback is expected to enroll at Houston in January 2027, pending NCAA clearance.
