Trevon Smith Commits to UTSA

Perry Pumas kicker Trevon Smith has committed to UTSA for the Class of 2025. Smith, a 6-foot kicker, chose the Roadrunners due to their high-powered offense that often requires big plays in the kicking game. UTSA's coaching staff has expressed interest in Smith's leg strength and accuracy on field goal attempts. With the departure of several kickers from last season's team, Smith sees an opportunity to earn a starting role early in his college career. UTSA's strong academic programs, including its business and engineering departments, also played a factor in Smith's decision. Smith had previously committed to another program but reopened his recruitment and visited UTSA's campus before making his final decision.
