Desert Edge Scorpions Break Ground on $3M Facility Upgrade

The Desert Edge Scorpions, a 5A program from Goodyear, Arizona, have officially broken ground on a $3 million facility upgrade. The project, set to be completed by the start of the season, will feature state-of-the-art locker rooms, a renovated weight room and additional practice space. The upgrade comes on the heels of back-to-back 7-3 seasons and a 5A state playoff appearance in 2024. The Scorpions have been actively recruiting top talent in the region, with several Division I commits already on board. The facility upgrade is expected to be a major draw for top prospects, giving Desert Edge a competitive edge in the 5A West region. The Scorpions are looking to build on their recent success and make a deep run in the playoffs this season.
