As the summer heat intensifies, Corona Centennial's kicking specialists are gearing up for a dominant season. One key drill that's helping them build explosive power and accuracy is the 'Ladder Blast.' This high-intensity workout targets the muscles used in kicking, improving technique and speed. To run the drill, set up a ladder on the field with 5-6 rungs. Have the kicker start at the bottom, then explosively jump up and land on both feet, immediately moving up to the next rung. Repeat for 3 sets of 10 reps. Coach's cue: 'Quick feet, explosive jump!' This drill translates to game performance by increasing the kicker's ability to generate power and speed on their kickoffs and field goals.
