Darius Harris: Bouncing Back from Adversity
Servite Friars running back Darius Harris averaged 7.2 yards per carry in a breakout performance at the CIF Southern Section's annual 7-on-7 tournament last summer. The junior's impressive showing came after a long and arduous recovery from a torn ACL suffered during his freshman season. Harris has been steadily working his way back onto the field, and his hard work has paid off. Now, he's on the verge of earning a starting role for the Friars. As a member of the CIF Southern Section's Division 1, Servite faces stiff competition in the Trinity League, but Harris's determination and perseverance have earned him a spot in the mix. Scouts are keeping a close eye on Harris's ability to maintain his speed and agility after the long layoff, as well as his ability to read and react to defensive schemes. If he can continue to build on his progress, Harris may be in line for a breakout season in 2026.
