Pueblo South Colts Girls Flag Football Players Targeted by Power Programs Amid CHSAA Expansion

๐Ÿ“ Pueblo South ColtsยทSunday, July 5, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

The CHSAA's pilot district expansion for girls flag football is creating new scholarship pathways for Texas athletes, particularly those from Pueblo South Colts. The Colts, a 4A powerhouse, are drawing attention from top programs. University of Nebraska, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, is expected to offer scholarships in its inaugural 2028 season. Ottawa University, Kansas, a national powerhouse, is offering up to 12 scholarships. Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are also active recruiters. UT Arlington, a developing NCAA D1 program, is monitoring the situation but has not yet offered scholarships. Colts players can take concrete steps by researching these programs and reaching out to coaches directly.
