Hunter Martin Commits to Kansas State
Pueblo South quarterback Hunter Martin has committed to Kansas State University, the freshman standout announced Friday. The 4A Colts signal-caller chose the Wildcats over offers from Colorado State and New Mexico, citing the program's spread offense as a key factor in his decision. Martin, a Class of 2026 prospect, believes he can contribute immediately as a freshman, given the team's need for depth at the quarterback position. He also praised Kansas State's academic program, noting the university's strong reputation for producing successful graduates. Martin was previously committed to Wyoming but decommitted in April after visiting the Kansas State campus. He has a 3.5 GPA and scored 24 on the ACT. Martin will join a Kansas State team that finished 8-5 in 2025 and will look to build on that success in the upcoming season.
