Austin Williams, a 6-foot-4, 220-pound tight end from the Class of 2025, has committed to the University of Houston. Williams, a standout player for the Hand Tigers in Westport, Connecticut, cited the Cougars' pro-style offense as a key factor in his decision. He believes the team's emphasis on tight end production and his size and skillset make him an ideal fit for the system. Additionally, Houston's strong academic programs and research opportunities align with Williams' academic goals. Williams previously held a commitment to the University of Connecticut but decommitted in April after re-evaluating his options. He plans to enroll at Houston in the fall and compete for a starting role in the Cougars' tight end corps.
