Fairfield Prep Jesuits' Multisport Athlete Eyes Flag Football Scholarship Opportunities

๐Ÿ“ Fairfield Prep JesuitsยทFriday, July 10, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

As the inaugural 2028 season of University of Nebraska's NCAA D1 flag football program approaches, multisport female athletes like Fairfield Prep Jesuits' standout student-athletes are pivoting to the sport in pursuit of college scholarship opportunities. Coached by Liz and Katie Sowers, the Cornhuskers' program will offer a unique pathway for student-athletes to compete at the highest level. In addition to Nebraska, Ottawa University, Kansas, offers up to 12 NAIA flag football scholarships, while Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are also actively recruiting flag football talent. For multisport athletes from the Fairfield area, this presents a chance to transition into a sport with growing collegiate opportunities. To capitalize on these opportunities, athletes should focus on developing their skills through summer camps and highlight tapes, and research verified scholarship programs to ensure a smooth transition into college football.
