Thomas Transitions to CIAC with Ease
Hunter Thomas, a 6-foot-2 linebacker from Fairfield Prep Jesuits, recorded 12 tackles-for-loss in his first four games as a starter last season, a testament to his impressive transition from out-of-state football. Thomas, a Class of 2026 prospect, transferred to the CIAC from the CIAC 6A Division in Texas, where he played for a powerhouse program. Despite the change in conference, Thomas quickly adapted to the Jesuits' system and earned a starting role. His ability to read and react to opposing offenses has been a key factor in Fairfield Prep's defensive success. As the Jesuits prepare for the upcoming season, scouts are watching to see if Thomas can maintain his high level of production and become a dominant force in the CIAC. Specifically, scouts are looking for Thomas to improve his pass-rushing skills and become more effective in coverage.
