As the 2026 summer camp season heats up, Fairfield Prep Jesuits girls flag football players are sharpening their skills with an eye on the University of Nebraska's 2028 inaugural NCAA Division 1 flag football season. Coaches Liz and Katie Sowers are building a powerhouse program, and Fairfield prospects are taking notice. With a focus on developing top talent, the Huskers' program is expected to offer up to 12 scholarships. For Fairfield Prep players, this means a clear pathway to Division 1 competition. To stay ahead of the curve, athletes are encouraged to create highlight tapes and reach out to the Nebraska coaching staff to express interest. Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, also offer verified scholarship programs for flag football players. Midland University, Nebraska, and UT Arlington are actively recruiting for their programs, but scholarships have not yet been announced.
