The St. Mark's Spartans, a Division II powerhouse from Wilmington, are home to a talented multisport female athlete who's shifting her focus to flag football for college opportunities. With the inaugural NCAA Division 1 flag football season set to kick off in 2028, the University of Nebraska is a prime destination for this athlete. Coaches Liz and Katie Sowers are building a program from the ground up, offering a chance to be part of history. Additionally, the athlete is exploring NAIA options, including Ottawa University, Kansas, which offers up to 12 scholarships, and Keiser University, Florida, known for its active recruitment efforts. Midland University, Nebraska, is also in the mix, as the team continues to build its roster. As the athlete prepares for the upcoming season, she can take concrete steps by creating highlight tapes and researching the scholarship programs at these institutions.
