Smyrna Eagles wide receiver Austin Taylor has committed to Army football for the Class of 2026. Taylor, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound receiver, chose the Black Knights due to their pro-style offense, which aligns with his skill set. He believes the depth chart opportunity at Army will allow him to contribute immediately, particularly in the slot receiver position. The Eagles' standout also cited the academy's rigorous academic program as a major factor in his decision. Taylor had previously committed to Delaware State but reopened his recruitment in April. He is expected to enroll at Army in the summer of 2027, pending academic clearance. Taylor's commitment to Army marks the first for the Smyrna Eagles in the Class of 2026.
