DeShawn Jackson Commits to Iowa State
Lakeland Dreadnaughts defensive end DeShawn Jackson has committed to Iowa State University. The Class of 2026 standout made the decision after attending Iowa State's summer camp, where he felt his skills aligned with the Cyclones' defensive scheme. Jackson, a 6-foot-4, 240-pound edge rusher, projects to fill a depth chart need at defensive end. He will also benefit from Iowa State's strong academic programs, including the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Jackson previously held offers from several Power Five programs, including Florida State and Louisville. He decommitted from Louisville in May after re-evaluating his options. Jackson is expected to enroll at Iowa State in the fall of 2026 and compete for a starting role in the Cyclones' defensive line rotation.
