LSU Extends Offer to Rising Defensive End Darius Thomas
LSU has extended an offer to Darius Thomas, a 4-star defensive end from Cocoa High School, as he enters his junior year in the Class of 2027. Thomas, who stands 6-foot-4 and weighs 230 pounds, recorded 44 tackles, 10 sacks and 3 forced fumbles as a sophomore. He has also received offers from Florida State, Miami and Auburn. The Cocoa Tigers' star is considered one of the top defensive prospects in the Sunshine State, and his offer list is expected to grow in the coming months. Thomas is expected to participate in the upcoming FHSAA 7-on-7 state championships and will be a key player for the Tigers in the fall. As a junior, Thomas will be a focal point for college scouts and recruiters. He is expected to take official visits to LSU and other top programs in the fall, with a commitment decision likely to come in the spring of 2027.
